Which comes first the venue or the gown?

Over the years as an owner operator of a bridal boutique, I have come to understand that the question of whether the venue or the gown comes first is much the same as whether the chicken or the egg comes first.  Each spring forth a river of secondary decision that ripples outward until reaching the shore. The question regarding time of day and location is routinely asked when scheduling consults in our boutique.  Approximately half of the blushing brides have a clear picture of the venue and will seek out the gown and accessories to fit.  Others have dreamt of a particular bridal look and will seek out the venue that matches that dream.
